Seven companies have expressed their interest in participating in the construction of Zestaponi-Kutaisi 23 km and Gori-Kareli 20 km sections.
The Tender Committee will study the compliance of the bids with the bidding requirements and announce the winner considering the required criteria in the nearest future.
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), under Phase IV of the East-West Main Gas Pipeline Construction Project, has called for bids for the construction and rehabilitation works on the Zestaponi-Kutaisi 23 km and Gori-Kareli 20 km sections of the main gas pipeline in July. Eleven companies expressed the desire to participate in the tender. However, only seven companies submitted the bids.
GOGC and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), had planned sites visiting on the Zestafoni-Kutaisi 23 km and Gori–Kareli 20 km sections of the main gas pipeline on September 2 and 3. The bidders had the opportunity to visit the sites.
The project is being implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
