Officials visit Gardabani TPP

The Minister of Energy of Georgia, Mr. Kakha Kaladze, the Executive Director of the Partnership Fund, Mr. Irakli Kovzanadze and the General Director of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, Mr. David Tvalabeishvili visited the construction of 230 MW Gardabani Combined Cycle TPP.
After installation of gas turbines, laying of the foundation for the main aggregates has already been completed and various ancillary facilities are being constructed from metal structures.
The TPP construction is carried out by Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation in cooperation with the Partnership Fund. Potential output of the TPP will be 1.8 billion kWh and in case of problems in the energy system of Georgia it will ensure continuous power supply within shortest possible time during a certain period.
The investment cost of Gardabani TPP is 220 million USD and is funded by Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and the Partnership Fund. The construction is carried out by the largest Turkish company - "ÇALIK ENERJİ".
