GOGC Took Part in the International Conference “Gaspian Oil and Gas”

On 3-6 June, the 21st International Exhibition and Conference “Caspian Oil and Gas” was held in Baku. Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation participated in the conference. General Director of GOGC, as an invited speaker, made a speech at the conference.
In his speech David Tvalabeishvili put emphasis on the importance of the Shah-Deniz Phase II and other internationmal projects. He also spoke about the role of Azerbaijan in the region and Georgia’s function as a transit state.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who led the official opening ceremony underlined that the number of companies represented at the conference is rising every year. This indicates that Azerbaijan energy potential is growing year by year.
This year the exhibition was attended by 402 companies from 29 countries among them were SOCAR, BP, Statoil, TPAO, and Lukoil. The first Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference opened in September 1994 on the eve of the signing of the Contract of the Century, which marked the beginning of a new period of joint development of three major fields Azeri, Chiragi and Giunsheli.
During the visit, delegation of GOGC laid the wreath on the grave of the ex-presenent of Azerbaijan- Heidar Aliev
