Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation obtained authorization for Senaki-Poti gas pipeline construction project

Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation obtained authorization for the construction of Senaki-Poti 30 km section of the main gas pipeline.
The new pipeline must supply LNG terminal and the Black Sea recreational area, as well as the towns of Poti, Senaki and Khobi with natural gas. The project was elaborated by GOGC and will start in September this year.
Before the construction works start, GOGC will announce an international tender on the procurement of pipes.
The project will be implemented through grants allocated by the Government of Georgia and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
