Gas Transportation to Armenia via Georgia Has Been Halted

Gas transportation to Armenia via Georgia has been halted this morning as the landslide in the Dariali Gorge significantly damaged 1200 mm North–South main gas pipeline.
Emergency brigade of the trunk pipeline operator-Georgian Gas Transportation Company has immediately started repair works. The landslide significantly damaged the highway and currently traffic is suspended. Armenian as well as the Russian sides have been informed of the damage on the pipeline section. Gas supply will resume immediately after the works are completed. Suspension of gas transportation to Armenia will not affect the ordinary gas supply to Georgia.
